This interior space uses purple, black and orange to bring forth the feeling of Halloween night accept in a wedding. Imagine getting married on Halloween, how would you decorate? What would you wear? It could be fun.
Here's the scoop from BBJ Table Linen's Blog:
"Maya Kalman, a New York event designer and CEO of Swank Productions, has graced her presence on Martha Stewart, Geraldo Live, and other television shows as well as publications such as Gotham Magazine and New York Daily News. She’s designed a countless amount of weddings and corporate parties for the Fortune 500, but this particular wedding she did was definitely a unique experience. We asked her a couple of questions to get her side of the event and the challenges she overcame.

1) What influenced the couple to do a Sleepy Hollow/ Halloween wedding?
Val & Andy came to us with the hopes of having a Halloween wedding like no other! They LOVE Halloween but were concerned that the wedding would come off as cheesy or juvenile because the Halloween theme has been so over done and often done badly. That’s where we, SWANK, came in. They hired us because they know we only do couture, one-of-a-kind events and that our aim is to do what no one has seen before!
So after brainstorming I came up with the concept that we would focus our Halloween themed wedding on the old Sleepy Hollow story and movies. Lots of fog, spooky trees, creep black birds, the color tones of black, dark purples, blood red, and grays of all shades. I was adamant to NOT have any ORANGE and absolutely NO PUMPKINS. The clients really wanted this themed event to still feel extremely high end, elegant and luxurious…..and that is exactly what we did for them!
2) How did you choose the table linens and chargers given the theme? It took painstaking hours and days to go through all of the linen and table top options from BBJ but I knew the color story I wanted to stick with ( black, dark purples, grays and silvers). I also knew I wanted an elegant “shine” on the table and a play of textures. The end result was breathtaking! A satin gray/silver linen, sparkle black chargers, cut crystal plates & glassware, ornate silverware all of a gorgeous black lace place mat."
